“Ale For Animals” Event Will Benefit DAWS

Eat, drink and be furry! On Tuesday, June 19th animal lovers will get to do just that. Well, besides the furry part. “Ale For Animals” is a fundraising event hosted by Greenwood’s Grille and Ale House to benefit the Bethel-based Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS). Greenwood’s has hosted a number of fundraising events and owners Susan and Matt Stein are always willing and ready to lend a helping hand for the community.

There will be raffle prizes and funds will support the DAWS Medical Fund for animals who need additional medical treatment. Greenwood’s will donate a portion of the bar and dining room sales on the day of the fundraiser to DAWS to help their shelter animals. So mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 19th, enjoy fine craft brews on tap, meet the DAWS staff and volunteers and help the furry friends DAWS takes care of get the treatments they deserve.
