Your Need-to-Know Info for the Primaries Tuesday

Any TV viewer can attest to the fact that over the past few weeks, the airwaves have been saturated with attack ads between candidates. Whether you are Republican or Democrat, you can let your voice be heard tomorrow, Tuesday, August 14th by voting. Registered Republicans and Democrats are encouraged to vote Tuesday in primaries for candidates running in local state and federal elections. Polls will be open at 6 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. Bethel voters can cast their ballots in the following locations:
- Clifford Hurgin Municipal Center for Districts 1 and 4
- Stony Hill Fire House for District 2
- Berry School for Districts 3 and 5
U.S. Senate Primary Candidates–
Democrats
- Chris Murphy, current congressman from the Fifth District.
- Susan Bysiewicz, former Secretary of the State.
Republicans
- Linda McMahon, former CEO Of WWE.
- Chris Shays, former congressman from the 4th Congressional District.
Fifth Congressional District Primary–
Democrats
- Chris Donovan, former House Speaker in the state’s General Assembly.
- Elizabeth Esty, former Cheshire Town Council member and state representative.
- Dan Roberti, former public relations executive and activist.
Republicans
- Andrew Rorabeck, state senator.
- Lisa Wilson-Foley, Simsbury resident, mother of 8.
- Justin Bernier, former U.S. Navy veteran and executive director of the Office of Military Affairs.
- Mark Greenberg, owner of a non-profit animal rescue shelter.

It’s interesting that you listed Dan Roberti in with the Republicans. While I personally agree with your assessment I do believe he’s running in the Democratic primary… or, do you know something the rest of us aren’t aware of?
It was a typo- I have since fixed.
