Taste of Danbury to Serve Up Potpourri of Food, Entertainment and Fun

Press Release from City Center Danbury–
Taste. It may mean quality, flavor, ommph, or your cup of tea. Whatever, CityCenter serves up a menu that’s fit for any Taste.
This year’s “Taste of Danbury” is scheduled for Saturday, September 8 (noon to 10 pm) and Sunday, September 9 (noon to 7 pm) on the Danbury Green. It’s the DisH (Danbury is Happening), and in this case, the small plates are trendy and DisH-lish.
With the support of Union Savings Bank; Ventura, Ribeiro & Smith; Hat City Pools; Danbury Cultural Commission; Danbury Parking Authority; BRT; Danbury Arena; and the Savings Bank of Danbury, “Taste of Danbury” will be bigger and better than ever. And it’s an affordable family outing that provides for every tastebud.
Last year, “Taste” attracted more than 20,000 people over its 2 days. Think how many quesadillas are sampled!? The array of food crosses state, regional, and international borders: ceviche, pinchos,Thai spring rolls, empanadas, eggplant rollatini, shish kabobs, cannoli, ice cream sundaes, fajita wraps, and, of course, “dogs with the works.” Portions are priced reasonably and there’s no admission fee.
The Steve Augeri Band headlines the weekend’s entertainment. The former lead vocalist of JOURNEY will perform on Saturday, September 8 at 8 pm and on Sunday, September 9 at 2 pm. The entertainment schedule includes:
Saturday: 1:00 pm Regional YMCA Family Zumba
2:15 pm Marc Huberman
