Gilleoghan’s Irish step dancers are kicking up their heels over the new season at their dance school. The dance school is currently accepting new students from beginner to advanced  for their new 2012-2013 season.  Classes are taught by award-winning instructors and owners Philip Owen and Terry Gillan, and students-turned-instructors Catie Thorne and Matt Mulvey, who are also award-winning dancers.

Gilleoghan Irish Dance moved into their prime location at 170 Greenwood Avenue in June 2011 and has been growing by leaps and bounds ever since. Students as young as 4-years-old up to teenagers enjoy classes and competitions. Many say that Gilleoghan is “like a second family.”

Gilleoghan Irish Dance offers international level solo and team dance, dance drama, show style dancing and formal childrens’ dance education and examinations complying with Irish Dance Commission standards. They also teach adult competitive and recreational programs, as well as Irish Language (Gaelic) classes.

Classes are taught at their primary studio, 170 Greenwood Ave., Bethel. They also offer classes at The Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Ave., Danbury. Call  201.952.1679 or 203.616.5100 for more information and a registration form.
