Come Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Columbus Day Observance Parade on Monday October 8th. The parade begins at 9am, and the parade proceeds down South Street from the back of Caraluzzi’s Food Market, to Depot Place, right onto Greenwood Avenue and finishes at P.T. Barnum Square.
At P.T. Barnum Square the Italian Flag will be raised to the sound of the Italian National Anthem. Breakfast will follow at Greenwood’s Grille & Ale House, $8.00 per person. The event started in 1982 by the late First Selectmen Ed Mills, and Gina Clarizio (the current Queen Isabella) to honor the Italian Heritage, which makes up a large population of the Bethel Community. The parade welcomes more participants and if you wish to march please call Billy Michael at 203-743-2456. All marchers should be at Caraluzzi’s parking lot at 8:30am. Complete details on the parade are available at www.bethelchamber.com
