Saturday is Bustling in Bethel
Be prepared for lots of hustle and bustle in downtown Bethel Saturday with a road race, a Healthy Living Expo, a Republican Town Committee event and more! The following roads will closed to make way for runners participating in St. Mary School’s “Catch Me if You Can” race: Route 302 between Route 53 and Chestnut Street, Route 53 between South Street and Route 302 and School Street from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m.
Also on Saturday, the Bethel Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 2nd Annual Healthy Living Expo at the Bethel Municipal Center from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring a full day of events focused on helping people to live a healthy lifestyle.

The Chamber will be showcasing healthy living speakers, healthy food samples, free fitness classes on the lawn, kid’s activities and more. The expo will be inside of the Municipal Center from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Registration opens at 7:30am – Pre-registered runners looks for the pre-reg table to get in and out quickly. Parking in rear of Municipal Center and Eaton Parking Lot. Enter through rear of Municipal building to get to “Big Gym”.

The Bethel Republican Town Committee invites all Bethel teens and their friends to stop by the Bethel Republican Headquarters for FREE PIZZA from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Their headquarters are located right next to the Bethel Chamber of Commerce and Gilleoghan Irish Dance (across from the library) at 180 Greenwood Ave.

Voter Registration will take place at the Municipal Center in the Registrar’s office Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for all new voters and any voter changes. The last day to register to vote for the Nov. 6 presidential election is Oct. 30. The Bethel Registrar’s office will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Oct. 30.
