Storm Sandy Update Friday 11/2/12, 10:00 a.m

Okay folks, admittedly this is a horrible photo, but if you look real closely you can see the trucks lined up ready to roll!

Editor’s note: For those of us on Day # 5 without power watching the CL&P outage map move only by 1 or 2% from 34% yesterday to 32% today can be very discouraging. Hopeful news is that while dropping off my exhausted sleep and hot shower deprived children to school this morning so they can “warm up,” I did see about 8-10 power and tree trucks lines up in the soccer field behind the police station awaiting assignments (see photo. Three more trucks were also spotted on Rockwell Rod. at about 8:30 a.m.

Below is the first selectman’s update where he stated “All roads in Bethel now open with exception of Wolfpits, South, and Rector.” This is not the case. Rockwell Rd. is still closed on the Walnut Hill and Plumtrees side, and Bethel Buzz readers reported this morning that Wolfpits Rd. is still closed as well.

Stay strong 32%, I’m right there with you!
