Stony Hill 4 Corners Tree Lighting is This Saturday

This Saturday, November 17th the Stony Hill Four Corners Association will host their annual Christmas tree lighting and food drive at the Big Y supermarket. The Stony Hill and Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Departments will be collecting food to benefit the Bethel and Newtown food banks from 10am – 5pm. Tree lighting festivities are from 5:30pm – 6:30pm and include music, entertainment, refreshments and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus who will arrive on a parade of fire trucks.
Since 2007 the Stony Hill Four Corners Association has been giving back to the community through community events and fundraisers. The association is composed of business owners between exits 8 and 9 in the Stony Hill area of Bethel and the Mount Pleasant Road area in Newtown, down Route 25 into Hawleyville. Last month the SH4C association held their annual Halloween Pancake Breakfast and raised over $3,000.00 for the Stony Hill Fire Department’s Ambulance Fund.
