BHS Marching Wildcats End Season Undefeated
The Bethel High School Marching Wildcats & Color Guard had something to cheer about Tuesday night at their band banquet as they celebrated an undefeated season, the second year in a row. And cheer they did! Band Director Damon Coachman beamed as he and the section instructors handed out awards to the students. BHS principal Christopher Troetti congratulated the band on a job well done. Mr. Coachman jokingly led the crowd in a chant of “we need more money, we need more money.” The marching band is funded from student dues, fundraisers and a small budget from the school.
The BHS Marching Wildcats & Color Guard won their Class II division last Saturday evening at the Musical Arts Conference (MAC) competition with a score of 91.1o%, their highest score ever. For a complete list of scores click here. They won first place in the USBands competition (formerly USSBA) on Nov. 3rd in Bridgeport with a score of 86.088%. They also won for best visual, best effect, best guard. Click here for scores.
Congratulations to the band, instructors and director for another wonderful season!
